Autism Initiative – Fitgenes
As a mother with two autistic boys, I would do anything to help them. I would often wonder why they weren’t responding well to certain interventions.
As a molecular geneticist, I was keen to look at the genetics behind the issues my boys were facing. Fitgenes is foundational – looking at the fiber of their being – at their DNA itself. It makes sense to me to go right to the cause of the problem rather than putting Band-Aids over symptoms.
The Fitgenes DNA sequence panel showed me where their genes were compromised, but more importantly what to do about it. I really like the approach of using natural nutrition based interventions to regulate gene expression rather than synthetic drugs. Best of all, the treatment is perfectly tailored to their DNA, so we can focus our time and money on supplements that work, without wasting precious resources on things that don’t.
Within weeks of starting the program I noticed improvements in my children’s eye contact. My youngest became noticeably calmer and considerably more sociable. he was finally able to get the hang of reading. He has transitioned from having one-on-one Special Ed support to managing his own in the mainstream classroom. We are making better process now in our OT and speech therapy sessions, as the children can focus and concentrate now. I wish we had been able to start with Fitgenes at the diagnosis stage – we would have got a much better return on investment in all the other therapies there after.
Now I am the only key facilitator with the Fitgenes Autism Health Initiative to help many other families. I have had numerous reports from Mums that their children are concentrating better at school, sleeping, eating and communicating better.
We still have lots of work to do with our kids, but the future looks brighter. My family is forever changed because of Fitgenes. I feel very honoured and blessed to be a part of this revolutionary approach to treating children with Autism Spectrum Disorders.
